These crystals are flat back and have a special glue designed for sticking to material. They suit most materials except polyesters that melt at less than 150c. To activate the glue you can use a tool such as a bejeweler downunder or an iron set for silk. The glue activates at 120 to 150c. Clothing can be dry cleaned or light washed without fear of the crystals coming off.
